Gothic Parade pathway
Work is nearing completion on a new 1.8m wide concrete pathway link between Westaway Parade and Gothic Parade in Currimundi. This will make it easier to access Currimundi Lake and the existing coastal pathway. The pathway will also provide the community with better connectivity to the popular Graeme Stewart Park via Croydon Street. It’s part of my ongoing improvements to the wider Currimundi area.
New playground at Aroona
I’m sure many local families are happy to see the new playground equipment at Ocean Ridge Park in Aroona. Council has installed a new climbing structure, a rocker, softfall material and a sandstone retaining wall.
Sunshine Coast turns 50
The 50th Anniversary of the Naming of the Sunshine Coast will be officially commemorated on August 1 this year. To help celebrate this historic occasion, council has planned celebrations throughout 2017. Visit council’s website to view the calendar of events and activities. We also invite you to share your ‘Fond Memories’ of the Sunshine Coast. You can submit your favourite memories and photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Drop in to Currimundi Marketplace on February 24 for my ‘mobile office’ session. I’ll be there from 9-11am to chat about council projects and local issues.
