Council is committed to improving the pathway networks across the region and providing cyclists with an alternative to cycling on David Low Way in the Diddillibah area.
Plans included the construction of a 2.5 metre wide off-road pathway for pedestrians and cyclists between Erbacher's Fruit Farm and Eudlo Creek bridge, Diddillibah. Council will replace the existing asphalt pathway with a new concrete pathway.
The construction phase of this project was completed in January 2013.
This off-road pathway project is a 50:50 grant funded project between council and the State Government’s Queensland Cycle Network Pathway grant-funding scheme.
This project is the result of community consultation and requests from the Sunshine Coast Cycling Alliance.
The project forms part of council's Active Transport Plan and delivers a priority network link. The new pathway will provide cyclists with an alternative to riding on David Low Way.
