  • Buderim, Coppersmith Court Pavement rehabilitation and resurfacing

    Rehabilitation will be over the entire area of Coppersmith Court, Buderim including the cul de sac. Work includes strengthening the subgrade, replacing the pavement and adding a new asphalt surface. 

    The project will commence on Monday 20 February 2017 and is expected to be completed within three weeks (weather dependent). Your patience during construction is appreciated.

    A section of pavement on Forestwood Drive and Marlock Close, Buderim will be rehabilitated. Work includes strengthening the subgrade, replacing the pavement and adding a new asphalt wearing surface.

  • Currimundi, Gothic Parade Pathway

    Work will soon start to construct a new 1.8m wide concrete pathway link between Westaway Parade and Gothic Parade. The new concrete pathway will make the boat ramp and access to the existing coastal pathway along side Currimundi Lake situated on Westaway Parade more accessable for the local community. This work is part of the ongoing improvements to the Currimundi area.

    Work is scheduled to start on the new link concrete pathway early February 2017. Completion is expected within two weeks (weather dependent).Your patience during construction is appreciated.



  • Dicky Beach Access 262 Beach Access 262 Upgrade

    Council will be undertaking an upgrade of Beach Access 262 at Dicky Beach. The project will upgrade the existing timber board and chain treatment to a stair and boardwalk structure with a portion of new timber board and chain treatment. This will minimise erosion, sand migration, and the impact on the environment.

    The construction is scheduled for early 2017.

  • Dicky Beach, Bott Street Pavement rehabilitation and resurfacing

    A section of pavement on Bott Street, Dicky Beach will be rehabilitated between Bell and Coochin Streets.

    Work includes strengthening the subgrade, replacing the pavement and adding a new asphalt surface. The project will commence on Monday 6 February 2017 (weather dependent) and is expected to be completed within three weeks. Please allow extra travel time as vehicle movements may be restricted during construction.

    Road works are scheduled to start on Finland Road Marcoola beginning 17 October 2016. Work hours will be between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Completion is expected by June 2017 (weather dependent).

  • Maroochydore, David Low Way Eudlo Creek Cycle and Pedestrian Bridge

    A new stand-alone cycle and pedestrian bridge over Eudlo Creek on David Low Way will replace the substandard pedestrian and cycleway facilities.

    This new bridge will be positioned on the northern side of the existing traffic bridge and will provide a 3m wide shared path for cyclists and pedestrians, separated from motor vehicle traffic.

    This new bridge will connect the cycle network between Bli Bli and Maroochydore and improve this route for our community.

    Work is scheduled to start Mid-November. Completion is expected by late-February, (weather dependent). Work will stop over the Chrismas and New Year period.

    Work hours will be between 6.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and 6.30am to midday on Saturday. Any changes to these work hours or days will be advised prior to commencing.

    Construction tasks will generate noise. We thank you for your patience during construction.
  • Mudjimba Pandanus Street Road Upgrade

    The final section of Pandanus Street, Mudjimba, west of the Coolibah Street intersection, is scheduled to be upgraded.

    Work includes stormwater upgrades, service adjustments, driveway upgrades, road widening and formalising the road verge.

    Work is scheduled to start the week beginning 14 November 2016. Completion is expected within 20 weeks (weather dependant). Your patience during construction is appreciated.
  • Verrierdale, Doonan Bridge Road Road sealing - Stages 1,2 and 3

    A temporary road closure will be in place on Doonan Bridge Road between Dahlia and Verrierdale Roads from Monday 6 February 2017 for approximately six weeks.

    To complete the Doonan Bridge Road Sealing Project as early as possible, three construction crews will work at different points along Doonan Bridge Road. This will help minimise construction time frames and disruption to road users.

    Council’s construction crews are expecting to be on site to start work from mid to late January (weather depending).

    Stage 2: Start: July 2017 End: November 2017
    Stage 3: Start: January 2017 End: July 2017

  • Yandina, Farrell Street Stormwater Drainage Work

    Council is aware of the current drainage issue north of the Energex substation on Farrell Street, Yandina. To help alleviate this situation, council will be installing a stormwater inlet pit and pipes in front of the substation. These pipes will connect to the existing drainage network at the southern end of the substation

    The majority of work will occur within the Energex property boundary at 64 – 68 Farrell Street.

    Work is scheduled to start the week beginning 6 February 2017. Work hours will be between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Completion is expected within four weeks (weather dependent). Your patience during construction is appreciated.
