Kids in Action promotes Kids Teaching Kids as a way of changing community views and uses of the natural environment.

As part of Kids Teaching Kids Week, council will join with local environment groups to inspire the region’s future environmental leaders. Young delegates in years five through to eight will teach each other about local environmental issues around:

  • biodiversity
  • threatened species
  • waterways and coastal environments
  • cultural heritage
  • sustainability.

The conference hopes to increase youth awareness and knowledge. It also fosters links between young people and their communities.
