Lake Kawana Community Centre is a multi-functional, diverse facility which provides a place for the community to create, express and celebrate its culture.

This modern venue is a focal point for the local community, not-for profit organisations and commercial entities to develop cohesion, cultural identity and a sense of place and can simultaneously accommodate a variety of uses and events with the 15 different spaces for hire.

The centre is located behind the Kawana Sports Precinct (formerly known as Stockland Park) at 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina.

Venue hire information

Lake Kawana Community Centre can cater for up to 550 banquet style, 750 theatre style, and standing for over 1000 people in its main halls alone with the two larger halls supported by performance stages equipped with high quality sound and lighting infrastructure plus the addition of an orchestra pit, green rooms and dressing rooms.

Many spaces are multifunctional, flexible with lake views and can be used in conjunction with one another for a range of special occasions from community classes and meetings, through to weddings, productions, expos and concerts. Spaces can be unfurnished for more physical activities or configured in a variety of ways including theatre style for productions, performances and presentations through to a banquet style layout for conferences, school formals and gala dinners.

A commercial kitchen and a number of smaller kitchenettes, food serving areas, outdoor relaxation and dining areas adjoin many of the spaces available for hire.

The experienced venue staff work collaboratively with their hirers to provide a safe, friendly and professional environment whilst also assisting in the planning of the hirer’s event and are on hand throughout to ensure its success.

Kawana Waters Physical Culture (physie) teaches a combination of warm-up, ballet, aerobic dance, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and yoga all in one affordable class. The choreography is made up of different routines to music and changes annually. It is designed to teach the relationship of movement to music, rhythm & co-ordination.
