There are a range of places to horse ride on the Coast.

Some of these locations are through the Coast's natural coastal and hinterland environments and are shown on council's publication A Guide to Horse Riding on the Sunshine Coast[1996KB].

Please use the guide in conjunction with the Horse Riding Reference Map[505KB].

There are 14 different tracks in the brochure offering a variety of experiences from short leisurely sign posted rides suitable for the whole family, to more strenuous medium to longer distance signed and unsigned trails.

Tracks range from discovering the Dularcha Rail Trail Tunnel, climbing up to the Point Glorious Lookout for spectacular views of the Sunshine Coast and a variety of forestry tracks.

The guide includes:

  • float parking locations including GPS co-ordinates
  • available facilities
  • whether the track is signed or unsigned
  • who to contact for group activity permits.

You can obtain a hard copy of the brochure from council's customer service centre or your local tourist information centre.
