Consultation on the Draft Nambour to Coolum Strategic Recreation Trail concluded on 17 October 2016.

The Draft Trail consists of a network of trails located predominantly on public land to be achieved over a 20+ year timeframe. It is proposed as a staged project to enable more detailed consultation, planning and on-ground alignment investigations to be undertaken.

The Draft Trail proposes a network of over 48 kilometres which would offer a diverse array of recreational opportunities for users to enjoy various unique natural and historical experiences. It would also offer the first east-west trail link on the Sunshine Coast. Local residents in Nambour, Bli Bli and Coolum would be the first to benefit from the proposed trail with local trail experiences proposed to be delivered early.
