Applications for all community grants program categories must be submitted online.
Prior to completing an application it is recommended to read the Community Grants Program Guidelines.
Applicants may submit only one Major or Minor grant application per round.
If you are applying for a grant over $5,000 it is recommended discussing your application with a grants officer before making a submission.

* Applicants need to be aware that funding is very competitive and council cannot guarantee that the application will be successful. Applications for community events must be scheduled to take place after notification of funding outcomes. See guidelines for details.
It is important your application is assessed under the correct category or you may not be successful. If you are unsure if you are applying under the correct category, please contact a Grants Officer on 5420 8616 for assistance.

Note: Applications must be submitted by 12.00 midnight on the closing date.
|Category and description
|Economic Development: projects that encourage and support local
organisations, both for profit and not-for-profit, to contribute positively to
improve the economic performance and prosperity of their local community.
|Cultural Heritage: projects that enhance an understanding of, and interest
in, the region's heritage and social history.
|Community Facilities: infrastructure projects that involve the development
or enhancement of a community facility
(land or buildings / permanent fixtures).
|Cultural Development: projects that enable the practical foundations for a
range of creative programs and activities.
|Sport, Recreation and Healthy Living: projects that encourage the
development of initiatives that promote participation in sport and recreation.
|Community Development: projects that respond to a local need and build
stronger, more engaged, safer and inclusive communities
|Community Events: projects that support sustainable community and
regional events and celebrations that reflect cultural values, diversity and
the lifestyle of coast communities.

Supplying extra information
Applicants may supply extra information by:
- attaching documents directly to application forms
- email documents to the Grants Team at email@example.com
- lodge documents at any of council's customer service centres
- post documents no later than the closing date.
Unless uploaded directly to the application form, all supporting documentation must have the applicant’s name and application number clearly printed on the top right hand corner of each page.
Note: Letters of support are NOT required from the Mayor and Councillors for the grants program.
Grants officers can assist applicants who are having difficulties uploading their documentation.
