The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is serviced by three qconnect bus services:

  • 890 Maleny to Nambour
  • 891 Maleny to Landsborough
  • 892 Landsborough to Beerwah services

890 Maleny to Nambour (formerly Hinterland Connect)

As of Monday 4 April 2016, the Hinterland Connect trial bus service became a permanent part of the qconnect network and is now known as the 890 Maleny to Nambour. The service connects to TransLink bus services and Queensland Rail services for travel beyond Nambour. There will be no immediate changes to the route, stops or timetable at this stage, however the fare structure has changed to match the 891 Maleny to Landsborough and 892 Landsborough to Beerwah services.

891 Maleny to Landsborough and 892 Landsborough to Beerwah (formerly Maleny-Landsborough-Beerwah Bus Service)

This seven day a week bus service is scheduled to meet other TransLink services:
  • 605 bus (Kawana to Landsborough via Caloundra)
  • 615 bus (Maroochydore to Landsborough via Mooloolaba and Sunshine Coast University)
  • some Brisbane trains.
It provides additional connections to Beerwah, Landsborough and Maleny.

In addition to making regular stops at fixed locations, you can 'hail 'n ride' the bus. This means, as long as it is safe for the driver to stop, passengers can board the bus. You must clearly signal the driver by placing your hand out as the bus approaches.

Fares are calculated on the number of zones you use in your journey. Visit the qconnect website for the current fare structure.
