Future recreation within Inter-Urban Break

Recreation users have been called on to share their views to shape an outdoor recreation plan within the Regional Inter-Urban Break, which straddles the southern Sunshine Coast and northern Moreton Bay council areas. Share your views with council to help us explore the opportunities that may exist now and into the future. The online survey is available on council’s website until Monday, November 27.

Make your voice and vote, valued!

With the upcoming State election I encourage all Division 1 residents to be crystal clear on what candidates and political parties policies are offering on critical rail, road and public transport infrastructure. Together we need to ensure that the Sunshine Coast receives a fairer share of funding in the future with funding commitments to the B2N rail duplication, Light Rail business case, Mooloolah River Interchange and Caloundra Road state infrastructure responsibilities topping the list.

Bellvista Boulevard duplication

Duplication works of Bellvista Boulevard are due to start late November. Stockland is scheduling higher impact works to take place during the 2017 Christmas school holidays. The road will be open at all times, however to avoid the construction, road works and possible delays, accessing Caloundra Road via Bells Creek Arterial is recommended.

Check your letterbox

Keep an eye out for my latest divisional newsletter, which will be hitting letterboxes in the coming days. It has a Christmas feel with lots of free family friendly community events to attend across Division 1 and the region.
