Integrated Transport Strategy gets the green light
A strategy that provides important targets and the blueprint for an integrated, safe and efficient transport system that services and supports a rapidly growing Sunshine Coast has been endorsed by council on December 6 2018. The Integrated Transport Strategy responds to the significant transport challenges and opportunities facing our region and outlines our vision to address the region’s transport needs. The strategy was developed with input from the community, key stakeholder feedback and expert analysis, as well as a review of trends and changes occurring across the transport sector. For more information and to download the strategy, visit council’s website.

Good news all round
The playground renewal project at Lillypilly Court Park, Kawana Forest is now complete. The playground got the thumbs up from early users and is a great outcome for the local young families who make use of this lovely pocket park to help keep youngsters engaged and active. There are a couple of orange markers still in place at the park, replacement spinners are another couple of weeks away, however it is not necessary to keep the park closed until then.

I really enjoyed attending the successful Kawana Forest Christmas party/active fun day organised by Kawana Forest Resident’s Association with more than 100 kids attending!  It was a perfect way to give my best wishes for Christmas – to those that couldn’t attend, may I take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a creative and prosperous New Year.
