Major Community Grants and Environment Levy Grants are now open
Our community groups do amazing work across the region to make the Sunshine Coast a great place to live, work and play. Your council’s Community Grants Program provides advice and funding support to not-for-profit groups for one-off projects, events and activities that benefit the Sunshine Coast Local Government Area. The next round of council’s Major Grants (all categories), Minor Grants (Event category only) and Environment Levy Grants are open now and close on Monday, September 3, 2018. For more information visit council’s website.
Heritage Discovery Weekend
On the weekend of August 25-26, the Sunshine Coast community will be given access to more than 12 fascinating museums and heritage places across the region. This is a fantastic way to learn more about our region’s history, have a family day out, and spark the curiosity of the next generation and inspire them to talk about the importance of preserving and sharing our history. Take a picture and share your experience with us by using the hashtag #heritagesunshinecoast and get the chance to win a $100 voucher at The Events Centre in Caloundra.
Connecting the Bellvista, Bells Reach community
It’s always a pleasure to attend a public meeting with the Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association (BeCA). For the last 10 years, the association made up of enthusiastic community members has been committed to deliver outcomes that create positive and lasting changes to connect the community. If you’re a resident of Bellvista, Bells Reach and Arbour, I invite you to attend next month’s general public meeting scheduled for Monday September 3 at 6.45pm at the Bellvista Meeting Place, Lomond Cres, Caloundra West.
