Community grant windfall
Congratulations to Mooloolaba Outrigger Canoe Club, Alexandra Headland SLSC, Sunshine Coast Churches Soccer Association, Alexandra Headland Community Assoc, Mooloolaba Yacht Club, Alliance Francaise de la Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba Business and Tourism, Rotary Club of Alexandra Headland, Kawana SLSC, Sunshine Coast Business Collaborative and Community Solutions on their funding success through council’s grants program. The Sunshine Coast Community Grants Program helps support projects, activities and events in our local communities.
Alex Skate Park update
The final concept design for the Alex Skate Park upgrade has been revealed with elements to suit skaters, BMX and scooter riders of all ability levels. The design offers a modern and innovative skate park that includes many features the community asked for.
Development Hot Spots
Maroochydore, Mooloolaba and Kawana have been identified as ‘hot’ areas of growth, with council’s annual building approvals heat map highlighting the high volume of building activity in these three areas between 2012 and 2016.
Grants to help celebrate 50th Anniversary
Grants of up to $20,000 are available to local not-for-profit community groups for projects, activities or events to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the naming of the Sunshine Coast. For more information contact a Grants Officer on 5420 8616 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
