Maroochydore intersection upgrades

Work will soon begin to upgrade a number of key intersections at First Ave and Maud St and at the junctions of Bungama, Allambie and Dalby Streets.  These upgrades will improve road safety, connectivity and cater for the future growth of Maroochydore as the key centre for business and commerce on the Sunshine Coast.  Details are available on council’s website and you can register to receive regular email updates.

Alex Skate Park concepts

It was great to see such enthusiasm at the recent community workshop to review the Alex Skate Park upgrade concepts.  The concepts were developed using feedback from the community and offer a modern and innovative facility with elements to suit skaters, BMX and scooter riders of all skill levels. Bowls have been included in both concepts but with different sizes to allow incorporation of other park elements.  Officers will review the latest round of community feedback before finalising the design. Construction of the park is planned for 2017.
