Join me for my next ‘Meet and Greet’ at Kawana Library on Monday, March 27 from 9.30-11.30am. Please come along if you would like to discuss any council matters or local issues. I will continue these ‘Meet and Greets’ at Kawana Library on the last Monday of every second month.
Pirate Ship playground
If you’re looking for something to do with the kids in Division 4, head down to Pirate Ship Park, Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba. The park has recently undergone renovations and has brand new play equipment ready for kids of all ages to enjoy.
A $23 million commitment to our roads
Council maintains more than 2200km of roads across the region through its Road Reseal and Rehabilitation Program to ensure they are safe for motorists. The 2016/17 program will improve more than 80km across 193 roads. Please slow down and follow traffic directions near all road works, for your safety and that of the people working on the roads. Visit council’s website to check which roads will be improved this month.
Start Cycling, Stay Cycling
The next round of council’s free cycling workshops are underway and I would encourage you to sign up if you or your family would like to start riding. We have a fantastic cycle path network and some stunning outdoor areas, so it’s well worth taking advantage of these to get some exercise or save a trip in the car. Head to council’s website at www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au and search “cycling workshops” for details and to register.
