Upgrades underway at La Balsa Park
Work at La Balsa Park is progressing well, with new river access stairs making it safer and easier to enjoy the water. We’ve also installed a new irrigation system to ensure this much loved park has lush grass all year round. And, there are even more improvements to come, work will soon begin to install new barbeques, tables and seating. I thank you in advance for your patience while this important work is completed.

ARIA Development Application
ARIA has lodged a development application for a redevelopment in Mooloolaba, on the site opposite the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club. The Aria proposal includes establishing a hotel, multiple dwellings and commercial use outlets. This application will be assessed on its individual merits, and the report will be available for public review once the assessment and recommendations are finalised. This is an important site and the right development will reshape Mooloolaba as an international tourist destination.
Federal government commits funding
It was great to see the Federal Government’s budget re-commitment to upgrade the Mayes Canal Bridge on Brisbane Road. This is an important project to ensure better access into and out of Mooloolaba and it’s reassuring to see this commitment included in writing in the budget documents.
