Coastal Pathway update

The Bokarina Beach development southern connection is now complete. A detour is still required at the northern connection, via Blue Haven Court, until the remaining pathway works are complete. Those works are expected to be completed by the developer by the end of 2019. Driftwood-Wyanda section is on track with bulk weed clearing completed and concreting commencing in April and through May. Regeneration works commence May-June and into the future to continue improving the quality of the adjacent bushland. Wyanda Park beach access will be closed for 3-4 weeks over May. All temporary beach access closures will be well signed.

Work progressing at Viridian Circuit Park’s dog off leash area

Drainage works for the new fenced dog off leash area are underway and expected to be complete in two weeks (weather permitting). The temporary fencing will remain in place around the work site to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Thank you for your ongoing patience during construction.

Creekside Boulevard upgrades complete for Currimundi

Upgrades to the Creekside Boulevard roundabouts on Sycamore Drive and Lomandra Drive are now complete. The works included a second lane on approach and through both roundabouts, kerb and footpath realignments, street light relocations and upgraded existing stormwater infrastructure. This project will help reduce current localised traffic congestion and improve vehicle access onto Creekside Boulevard from adjoining side streets. It will also help cater for forecast traffic increases from the developments of Kawana Town Centre and the University of the Sunshine Coast Hospital.
