Community presentations available

Council provides so many important services to our community and I am determined to ensure residents in Division 3 know what they are and how to interact with council for the best outcomes. Over the past few months, I have hosted a number of presentations for community leaders and at retirement complexes and am putting the call out for new opportunities to continue to spread the word throughout 2019. If your community or group would like to hear this presentation please contact me on 5420 8978 or email to make arrangements.

New dog off leash area

I’m pleased to announce that in response to a local need, a new dog off leash area within Viridian Circuit Park at Birtinya is about to commence. Site works are expected to run from mid-March and be complete in May (weather permitting). The fenced area will include two entry points, seating, rubbish bin and dog bag dispenser, a tap with dog bowl, new trees for shade and garden bed areas. Footpaths around the work site will remain open to the public during construction though temporary fencing will be in place to ensure pedestrian safety.

Mobile Office - Friday March 22

My next listening post session is scheduled at Currimundi Marketplace from 9am to 11am. This is a great opportunity to raise any concerns or ask about the exciting range of projects which are underway. Hope to see you there!
