Connecting the coastal pathway

If you like to walk, run or ride you’ll be happy to know the first stage of connecting the coastal pathway at Wurtulla is complete. This new section is approximately 200m long and extends between Moondara Drive to Poatina Park (beach access 249).  The second stage of this significant community infrastructure project is due to start in late October and will connect the pathway between beach access 249 and Wurley Drive.

Thunderbird and Oceanic intersection redesign

Council will soon start work to remodel the intersection and Thunderbird and Oceanic Drives in Bokarina. This will improve the safety and traffic flow by redirecting non-local traffic back to the Nicklin Way to discourage traffic flow through Dune Vista Drive.

Bokarina Bushcare Bashers need you

To assist in the formation of this new conservation group, volunteers are sought to help with the community nature program in Bokarina for just two hours each month. If you’ve got some time to help preserve and maintain our dunes, please contact the coordinators Keith and Myrl Allison on 5493 5464.
