Currimundi pathway is complete

I’m pleased to confirm the concrete pathway linking Cooper Street to the Coastal Pathway in Currimundi has been completed. The project included the installation of roadside traffic bollards to stop cars being able to access that area. The works have provided a safe off-road pathway for pedestrians and cyclists and was just one of many projects funded through council’s $370 million Capital Works Program.

Time is running out to register your furry friends

By now, cat and dog owners will have received their annual Sunshine Coast Council animal registration renewal notices. Registration is an important part of responsible pet ownership and your pets must be registered with council with all renewals due by September 30, 2018. Registration information helps council to reunite lost pets with their owners, plan for, or provide services such as an animal pound, off-leash areas for dogs, ensuring there are litter bins where they are needed most and delivering education programs to promote responsible pet ownership. Please note that discounts apply for dog and cat owners who have had their pets de-sexed and micro-chipped. That brings the cost down to just $13, or free for pensioners. There are several convenient payment methods available, including online payments via MyCouncil or BPay, over the phone or at a council customer contact centre.
