Cr Cox - Double flying fox
  • Thursday 21 April 2016

It’s great to be back as your Division 3 councillor for a second term. I am humbled by the faith the community has shown in me and this result clearly demonstrates that our community recognises a need for stability to produce great outcomes. I certainly look forward to working with you over the next four years.

Double flying fox

I am pleased to announce that the new double flying fox equipment at Grahame Stewart Park in Currimundi is now open and the kids love it. At this stage the all-abilities harness is still awaiting certification before it can be installed, which is expected in the next two months. The flying fox and the surrounding areas have been specifically designed for disabled access, including a pathway for wheelchair access, rubber impact protection and additional room for the carer in the launch and dismount areas.

Puppy play area

Work on the new small dog exercise enclosure at Ridgehaven Park in Aroona is progressing nicely. Several dog owners have told me they are eagerly awaiting its completion, which is expected to be very soon.

Nice to meet you

I will be at Currimundi Market Place on Friday 22 April from 9-11am for my first ‘mobile office’ of this council term. These sessions are a great opportunity for me to hear first-hand what is important to you, so make sure you call in and say hello.
