Drainage work at Ridgehaven Park
Drainage work has now been completed in the large dog enclosure at Ridgehaven Park in Aroona. New turf has also been laid and cordoned off to allow it to establish. The small dog enclosure will also have drainage work undertaken from October 4, weather permitting.
Coastal Pathway Master Plan
Council will soon be seeking feedback on the draft Coastal Pathway Master Plan to help guide future construction, with the aim of having a world class pathway from Bells Creek in the south to Stumers Creek in the north. Community information will be available later this month, please take this opportunity to have your say. Information will be available in various ways, including on council’s website and Facebook, so keep an eye out. For more information please contact me on 5420 8978.
Currimundi Lake midges
The current closure of Lake Currimundi is showing extremely pleasing results for reducing midge numbers. Larval levels are very similar to those recorded at the same stage as previous successful closures. We anticipate reopening the lake in mid-October, weather permitting.
Come along to my next 'mobile office' session on Friday October 28. I’ll be at Currimundi Marketplace from 9-11am and Parklands Marketplace from 11.30am-12.30pm. In addition, you can remain connected with what’s happening in Division 3 by subscribing to my quarterly newsletters. The spring edition is out now, so if you would like to subscribe email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
