Kick it to me!
The new combination goal posts at Aroona Park have been such a hit they’ve inspired a young Division 3 sports fan to write to me to ask council to consider installing the same kit in Ridgehaven Park. Good on you Lachlan for living our Healthy Smart Creative region attitude. Thanks for getting in touch and I’ll do everything I can to assist.
Coastal pathway Beach Access (BA) 238-242
I’m pleased to report the coastal pathway has been completed with the section between Driftwood Court and the existing pathway at Mallard Place now open to the public. While works are continuing at Wyanda Park to construct a new shelter and boardwalk, I recommend that cyclists exit the coastal path at BA 241.
Bush rehabilitation and revegetation works are ongoing to restore the canopy from the vast amount of weeds removed in undertaking these works. This is a long-term requirement for the successful delivery of this project. Results have already been noticeable but require sustained efforts to improve this particular section of bushland.
The works at Wyanda Park are expected to take approximately six weeks, with the beach access closed for the duration. Sorry!
The Coastal path will then continue to the north with the connection to BA 238 expected to be open at the same time as Wyanda Park is complete. Clearing works to the north of BA 238 will then follow.
Mobile Office - Friday 23 August 2019
I’ll be at Currimundi Marketplace from 9am to 11am. If you have any council-related queries please pop down to let me know. Hope to see you there!
