Cr Cox - Horizon Festival of arts and culture
  • Thursday 07 July 2016

The Sunshine Coast will have a really exciting new event kicking off from September 2–11. Horizon festival of arts and culture is set to cater for everyone, with exhibitions, visual arts, street art, music, dance, new media, workshops, art-making, film projections, food and more. Commencing in Caloundra, with events held region-wide over 10 day, Horizon will also support a number of well-established festivals here on the coast, including the Caloundra Film Festival and Maroochy Music and Visual Art’s Festival. This is definitely one to mark in your diary!

Environment Photography Awards

Photographers who love capturing creative and inspiring images of the Sunshine Coast’s beautiful environment can now enter an art award with a difference. The 2016 Sunshine Coast Environment Photography Awards – offering three prizes with a total value of $8500 – are an exciting opportunity for local photographers to use their skills and passion to share the story of the Coast’s natural and built landscapes. The competition is free for residents of the Sunshine Coast Council area. Entries close August 3 and all you need to know to enter is on council’s website.
