I’ll be at the Currimundi Marketplace on March 23, from 9-11am, for my next ‘mobile office’ session. I look forward to discussing any council issues of importance with you on the day.
National Ride2School Day 23 March
Sunshine Coast Council expects around 350 children in our region will ride to school for the first time this Ride2School Day, and hopefully start a life-long pattern of active travel. To encourage kids to get on their bikes this Ride2School Day, council is offering great prizes including bike vouchers valued at $500, $200 and $100. Register on council’s website and ride to school for your chance to win! Buddy up with the kids in your street and ride to school together, or park the car a short distance away and ride from there. Please take care on the roads, keep an eye out for kids and slow down in school zones.
Queen’s Baton Relay comes to the Sunshine Coast
Come along to celebrate and support our 25 local baton bearers selected to carry the Baton for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay arriving in Caloundra on Tuesday 27 March. A community celebration will be held at King’s Beach Amphitheatre from 9.15am to 11.00am where there will be kids’ activities, performances from the Gubbi Gubbi Dance Troupe and much more!
