The path along Oakmont Drive, Buderim will soon be extended to create a 460 metre long path that will be 1.8 metres wide. The path will provide a connection between Alfriston and Crestmont Drives, will include the installation of kerb ramps on Oakmont Drive at the intersection of Alfriston Drive, and is scheduled to start on February 22, 2016. Work is expected to be completed within three weeks, dependent on the weather. Property access will be affected for short durations, and traffic management will be in place. Apologies for any inconvenience caused during the construction period.
Edgewater Footbridge replacement
Edgewater Lake residents can look forward to a new footbridge following the start of work to replace the existing structure that has reached the end of its serviceable life. The new bridge will be constructed using composite fibre and aluminium materials that should achieve a 100 year lifespan. There will be no access through the park from Oak Grove Way to Edgewater Place, during construction, which should take two weeks, weather dependent. Alternative pedestrian access is available through Springhill Drive and University Way.
