Sippy Downs Drive project on track
Safer, smoother, more functional travel through Sippy Downs is the goal of council’s Sippy Downs Drive Project.
During the school holidays, stage three works focused on a 300m stretch in front of Siena College. Works include construction of a four metre wide pedestrian pathway as well as on-road cycle lanes on both sides of the road. The current east and west bound traffic lanes are being widened to two lanes and a median strip installed in the centre of the road, continuing the ‘boulevard look’ from previous stages.
Traffic has now been switched onto the northbound road so construction of the southbound road can commence.
The Sippy Downs Drive upgrade is on track to be completed by the end of November, weather permitting. I appreciate your continued patience while these works are in progress.
Buderim Male Choir seeks new members
It is truly wonderful when Buderim comes alive with the sounds of the resident Male Choir and I am pleased to support their current membership drive.
The Buderim Male Choir is the region’s longest continually serving community choir and the only choir on the Sunshine Coast singing in the tradition of the classic Welsh male voice choir.
Membership is open to men of all ages from across the region. Being a member of the choir is not necessarily all about singing—there are also many social and health benefits to enjoy.
So if you have a hidden talent or would like to know more about the choir I encourage you to contact the secretary on 0429 009 897 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
