Shop local for a stronger community
Many thanks for your patience during the streetscaping upgrade to Bulcock Street. Although disruptive, the upgrade will ensure the heart of Caloundra continues to be a major drawcard for our locals and visitors.
Construction is always a challenging time and our local traders need our support more than ever. Local independent shops, like those in the Caloundra CBD, not only add vibrancy and variety to our community but also help boost the local economy. They are a place to find quirky, one-off clothes and gifts, great eateries using local produce as well as an opportunity to interact with local entrepreneurs and identities—they give our town character and a point of difference.
To help ensure regular turnover, limited user pays priority parking is available in and around Bulcock Street. If you can’t find a priority spot, additional on-street parking is available just a little further away. My tip for visitors to the CBD is to take advantage of FREE parking at the multi-deck car parks in Cooma Terrace and Ormuz Avenue. On the lower levels a 3 hour limit applies however all day free parking is available on the top decks of both car parks, located a convenient 100m stroll down the laneways to Bulcock Street.
Help support our CBD, the rewards really are worth the little bit of extra effort required.
A last minute reminder to have your say on the draft Caloundra Centre Master Plan before feedback closes tomorrow.
