Cr Hungerford - Hitting the ground running
  • Thursday 19 July 2018

Cheers to the start of a new financial year with plenty of goodies in store for Division 7 thanks to the $864 million region-wide 2018-19 budget recently endorsed by council.

One million dollars towards implementing the Maroochy Multi-Sports Facility Development Plan, $316,000 to the design and masterplan concept for Sandalwood Lane, Forest Glen and a new $175,000 pathway on Crosby Hill Rd, Buderim to name but a few of the diverse mix of projects ahead.

We will also see $82,270 invested in the next stage of Milne Park, Mons, $25,000 towards further upgrades to White Lookout, Buderim and $222,000 put towards the design and construction of upgrading the existing sealed and unsealed carparks at our beloved local district park – Buderim Village Park.

Speaking of which, many thanks to local residents for their patience as ground work has already kicked off for the new carpark with Church Street now closed and as a result so too is access to the carparks behind the BWMH.

Church Street should be open again mid July, weather permitting and the upgraded carparks are scheduled for completion by mid August.

Meanwhile over at popular Bradman Ave, Maroochydore along the stunning Maroochy River, works have also started on the $300,000 Bradman Ave Foreshore Design implementation with temporary fences erected for safety as the new pathway is laid.
