Cr Hungerford - Buderim park goes from strength to strength
  • Monday 17 October 2016

I am pleased to advise that Stage 5 of Buderim Village Park is now complete including the main viewing terraces and nearby BBQ/picnic shelters.

All of the elements have blended exceptionally well with the previous works in the park making them a wonderful addition for the community.

The feedback from visitors has been very positive. Credit must go to our internal landscape design team for producing an excellent design which enhances and maximises the community benefits available from this strategic parcel of land with stunning views across the Coast.

This is such a great place to turn a snag, take a walk or sip coffee with family and friends – be sure to check it out!

Something’s fishy

Great news to report, with the installation of the fish cleaning table at the boat ramp on Fishermans Road, Maroochydore.

This is a popular fishing spot for locals and visitors alike, so I’m confident the new table will be put to good use and will keep the surrounding area clean from fishy mess.

Improving our road network

Meanwhile, over at Eugenia Road, Forest Glen works have commenced on upgrading a section of the gravel road to a 4m wide sealed road.

Due for completion by month’s end, this upgrade will increase road safety and reduce maintenance cost and dust caused by vehicles travelling along this section of road.

Councillor catch up

Interested in hearing further information about local projects and developments or have some views to share? Maybe just want an opportunity to come and meet the local person who represents your Division 7?

Then please head to the Old Buderim Post Office, Burnett Street on October 28. I’m there the fourth Friday of every month from 10am – midday to catch up with locals.
