I’m very excited to see work start on the Maleny Riverside Boardwalk.
This attractive timber boardwalk will connect the Maleny town centre with the Maleny Community Precinct – an easy accessible walk, with opportunities to view the Obi Obi Creek and enjoy the natural surrounds.
I’m confident both residents and visitors alike will enjoy this new addition to Maleny.
Improving safety at Maleny RSL
I’m pleased to advise I have been able to provide some funding assistance towards the extension of the fence pedestrian gate inclusion at Maleny RSL on Bunya St, Maleny. This will improve the safety and access in and out of the popular community facility.
Russell Family Park facelift
Residents will be happy to know the construction site fencing has been removed and popular Russell Family Park, Montville is fully open and ready to be enjoyed.
Stage 7 works included connecting pathways, new trees, turf and landscape plantings, drainage works and stormwater management, pedestrian nodes and seating areas and concrete stairs with handrails.
These works build on from the previous stages within the park to improve site functionality and lay the ground work for future proposed works.
National Tree Day
Council is hosting two community planting days, one at Marcoola and the other at Little Mountain, for National Tree Day on Sunday, July 2 from 8.30-11am.
How much we achieve on Sunday will really come down to people power.
Every single tree planted will make a difference—so I’d urge everyone to grab their friends and families and head down to dig in.
