New ‘Butterfly Walk’ at iconic reserve
Feeling a bit frazzled from too much Christmas hustle and bustle, why not head to the stunning, tranquil Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve to relax and reconnect with nature?
The beloved reserve is now easier to access following a recently completed upgrade to the main walking trail. This new Butterfly Walk trail snakes through the top of the reserve, from the boardwalk to the toilet block, to provide better access and allow more people to enjoy its natural beauty.
Apply now for a Landholder Environment Grant
Are you a private rural landholder interested in undertaking an on-ground project on your property to protect and enhance the natural assets and biodiversity of the region? If a little funding boost from council towards your project to start the New Year off sounds good to you – be sure to check out council’s Landholder Environment Grants.
Submit an Expression of Interest online between January 11 and February 22 to have a council conservation officer visit your property to discuss the project in more detail.
