Many Sunshine Coast residents believe they are recycling right, but there are still a number of mistakes being made.
As part of National Recycling Week, come along to council’s free Recycle Right Open Day at the Waste 2 Resource Education Centre at Nambour Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre from 9.30-11.30am on November 12 where everything there is to know about recycling will be revealed.
Visit council’s website for details and to book.
Yoga and art at the Garden
Have you been to our stunning Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden in Tanawha lately? Then you will know there is always such a beautiful sense of peace and tranquillity to be experienced nestled away amongst the stunning natural bushland backdrop.
And I couldn’t think of a more suitable healthy, active activity to enjoy while there, than yoga. If this sounds good to you, check out the free yoga sessions, part of council’s exciting new health and wellbeing initiative called ‘Healthy Sunshine Coast’, starting on November 5 from 7 - 8am in the Sculpture Garden. Bookings are not required.
Also on at the Garden from November 19 – 26, I highly encourage you view the Water and Environment Exhibition.
This is an exciting collaborative exhibition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Sister Cities alliance between Tatebayashi (Japan) and the Sunshine Coast.
Eudlo tree maintenance
Heads up, in early November council will be undertaking general pruning and maintenance of the beautiful 100 year old Gum tree overlooking Eudlo State School and the footpath along Highlands Road.
