Council is committed to upgrading road networks across our region to ensure safe and function and travel for commuters. As part of this, the final section of Pandanus Street in Mudjimba, west of the Coolibah Street intersection, is scheduled to be upgraded.

Works for this include stormwater improvements, service adjustments, driveway upgrades, road widening and formalising of the road verge.

Council tries to avoid disturbing large and established trees where possible however some may need to be removed to accommodate these upgrades. Any trees that are removed will be replaced with appropriate street tree species.

Works is scheduled to start the week commencing November 14 and it’ll take around 20 weeks to complete – weather dependent.

On-street parking will be limited at times while these works are in progress and property access will be affected for short durations, however all efforts will be made by council to make sure disruptions to driveway access are minimal.

Construction crews will advise directly affected residents prior to starting any work that will affect property access. Pandanus Street will remain open during construction with stop-go arrangements implemented as required. Any traffic changes will be clearly signed and delays will be kept to a minimum.
