Cr OPray - School holiday fun
  • Friday 05 December 2014

Here’s some good news for mums and dads. These summer holidays there are more than 80 fun school holiday activities being hosted at Sunshine Coast Council’s libraries, and plenty to see and do at Council’s entertainment venues too.

Holiday activities at Council’s libraries are free and cater for all ages. From Christmas parties to an interactive magic show where children get to meet a real live rabbit, there is definitely something for everyone.  Create an Adventure Time stop-go animation with iPods and iPads or create a game, make a kite or join in some giant size board games. Craft workshops include making fairy and gnome houses, bead jewellery from recycled materials, space crafts and 2015 calendars. There are activities for teens too.

To view the full range of activities at the libraries and to book a place, head to or call your local library on 5475 8989. Spaces are limited, so be quick to avoid disappointment.

Council’s venues are hosting an exciting and affordable holiday program, including a special movie screening of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a Cinderalla pantomime and The Listies Make You LOL! comedy show. Perhaps your kids will enjoy a week-long drama workshop? Or a series of triathlon workshops and a mini-triathlon to test out their skills? Visit for a full list of activities and performances, and to book your tickets.
