Christmas in the Park
Coolum’s beloved annual Christmas in Park event is on December 10 at Tickle Park and I’m really looking forward to it. I commend the Coolum Christian Family Church for once again putting together this outstanding festive event. Pastor Rod Holt and his wonderful congregation will be sharing their Christmas message, as well as leading us in the traditional singing of carols. I look forward to seeing you there between 7pm-9.30pm.

Coolum business launch
A Coolum-based business is now competing on the global stage, after the recent launch of a new renewable battery system. I had the privilege of joining Enopte CEO Mark Leckenby to launch their product, which was fully developed here on the Sunshine Coast from design concept to software creation. This is a great example of a successful cleantech business contributing to our new economy through innovation, talent and entrepreneurship.

Meals on Wheels
It has been another successful year for the Coolum Beach Meals on Wheels group and I was very impressed with the achievements highlighted at the recent AGM. These hardworking volunteers are truly outstanding. They give so much time and effort to our community and I would again like to thank them for their commitment.

Meet and greet
My last ‘meet and greet’ session for the year in on December 14 in the usual spot at Coolum Library. I’ll be there from 1-3pm.
