Road works completed
I’m pleased to see the road reseal works completed for Havana Road East in Coolum Beach. The smoother surface will be noticeable for the many motorists who use this road, particularly for access to the school. The reseal is part of council’s $18.7 million Road Reseal and Rehabilitation Program, which delivers improvements to more than 200 local roads.
Celebrate Queensland Youth Week
A free BBQ and a skate jam with prizes for 12 to 24-year-olds has been planned by council to celebrate Queensland Youth Week from noon to 5pm on Friday, April 6 at Alex Skate Park. For the first time, Queensland will be celebrating its own youth week on April 6-15 and council will take the opportunity to launch the Sunshine Coast Youth Action Plan. This action plan ensures our young people are involved in decisions that impact on their lives and they are supported to actively participate in community life. It was delivered in close collaboration with the Speak Up Engage youth team. A huge thanks to those young volunteers for their efforts.
