It’s Green June, a celebration of festivals, forums, events, activities and workshops for all ages. Green June is the perfect time to focus on sustainable living, share ideas and explore new technology and opportunities.
It’s great to see the community and council working together on so many fantastic environmental events that have a common goal.
Green June is all about education. By understanding how our actions impact this planet, the better choices we will make. And that’s a win for the environment, our community and future generations.

La Balsa Park rocks
Council crews have completed reconstruction of the La Balsa Park rock wall, at Harbour Pde, Buddina.
The $70,000 project will prevent further erosion to council’s park and reduce the risk to council infrastructure.
The upgrade looks great and is much safer for those of us who love to swim, ride and walk along this popular section of river bank.
Contracts for council work are awarded on a range of things from street sweeping and mosquito control to catering and construction.
To receive an instant email alert each time a new tender is advertised, register your details on the Tender Alert Service page of council’s website.
Responsible dog ownership
After two men were seriously injured in two separate dog attacks recently, it’s a timely reminder that while dogs may be loving members of the family, they can act unpredictably and must be under control at all times.
Council’s website has information on responsible dog ownership.
