We are building a healthy, smart and creative region here on our Sunshine Coast, and we know there are many challenges and opportunities that we need to plan for now.
A great example of our council’s forward thinking is the release of our draft Environment and Liveability Strategy which is open for public comment.
This draft strategy is very important to our region’s future.
It focuses on how our natural environment should be preserved and enhanced while enabling a good quality of life for all of us in an accessible and well-connected built environment.
The strategy addresses the challenges and opportunities that our Sunshine Coast will encounter over the next 25 years - population growth, climate change, economic growth and technological change.
It is a must read for everyone interested in the future of the Sunshine Coast and we welcome your views which will then be considered in the production of a finalised strategy.
