We're only halfway through the month but already it's been a spectacular September on our Sunshine Coast.
We've had tens of thousands of locals and visitors enjoying world-class events staged here in the regional events capital of Australia.
For sports lovers, the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, run in the Southern Hemisphere for the first time, will be a competition that will be remembered for some time.
The weather was outstanding, the racing was amazing and the friendship shown by our Coast community to the almost 3000 competitors from 80+ nations and their friends and families set a new standard.
The reports we received from the organisers were that this was the best IRONMAN World Championship yet.
For those who love the arts and culture, the 10-day Horizon Festival which finished at the weekend was magical.
Huge crowds enjoyed the main public events which were part of packed program full of variety.Thank-you for the tremendous support and thanks to everyone who played a role in bringing these highlights of our calendar to us.
