Align your brand with national art prize
  • Thursday 09 January 2014

Sunshine Coast Council today announced a unique opportunity for companies to align their brand with the highly coveted 2014 Sunshine Coast Art Prize which attracts entries from across Australia.

Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said the Sunshine Coast Art Prize is now in its ninth year and has achieved national acclaim for its annual representation of contemporary Australian art.

This significant art prize provides a distinguished contribution to the Australian art calendar and attracts some of the nation’s top contemporary and emerging artists, with the winner of the two dimensional (2D) category receiving $15,000,” Cr McKay said.

“The Sunshine Coast Art Prize culminates in an exhibition of 40 finalists’ artworks at Caloundra Regional Gallery from 27 August to 26 October 2014.

“An inaugural New Media category, launched this year, is open to any Australian resident aged 15 to 30 identified as an emerging artist in the first five years of their practice.”

Cr McKay said council invites companies who are committed supporters of the arts to align and increase their brand by becoming a sponsor of this significant regional art prize.

“This is a great chance for companies to increase their brand awareness and enhance their existing market audience to one of the Sunshine Coast’s signature events for 2014,” Cr McKay said.

“This exclusive sponsorship opportunity is rare and represents a range of benefits for businesses.

“We welcome enquiries from companies, organisations or individuals interested in sponsoring by 25 January 2014.”
