Tickets are sold out for acclaimed Australian author Di Morrissey's visit to picturesque Flaxton Gardens on Thursday, November 19.

Di will talk about her latest book Rain Music and life as an author.

Rain Music is a classic Australian tale of secrets, adventure and family.

Following the sudden death of their father, Ned and Bella Chisholm each face uncertain futures. When Ned takes off to pursue his musical dreams in Far North Queensland, Bella follows seeking her own answers to a dark family schism.

In lush Cooktown, they are each rocked by tumultuous changes and forced to make choices to redefine their lives.

Di trained as a journalist, working in newspapers, magazines, television, film, theatre and advertising around the world.

It was her fascination with different countries; their landscape, their cultural, political and environmental issues that has been the catalyst for her novels which are all inspired by a particular landscape.

The literary event, with 92.7 MIX FM’s Caroline Hutchinson as master of ceremonies, is part of a series of Sunshine Coast Libraries author talks hosted at various locations across the region.
