If you're planning an event on the Sunshine Coast, all you need to know will be showcased free of charge at the Sunshine Coast Events Network (scene) Events Expo on Wednesday, March 23 from 4 - 8pm at the Innovation Centre, University of the Sunshine Coast.
Council’s Community Services Director Coralie Nichols said the Expo was a fantastic opportunity to see what the coast event’s industry had to offer and learn some event tips.
“With more than 40 exhibitors, including venues and suppliers, plus a large showcase of entertainment options you’re sure to make some great contacts and get fresh new ideas for your events in 2016,” Ms Nichols said.
“Come along and hear from guest speaker Bryn Skilbeck, who will discuss current trends in the event industry and how to build an event that survives and thrives in 2016, as well as Barry Hill, a senior lecturer from Southern Cross University, who will discuss green events.
“We’re also launching our 2016 scene program and there are some great workshops on the way this year so be sure to pick up a copy.”
Information kits, canapés, drinks (available for purchase), prizes to win and a business card draw for two day tickets to the Caloundra Music Festival are all part of the Events Expo, and it’s free to attend so register now.
scene is an initiative of Sunshine Coast Council to support the region’s events industry. It aims to strengthen the quality and enrich the diversity of the local events landscape by building the knowledge, capacity and networks of event organisers.
scene is supported by Business Events Sunshine Coast, the University of the Sunshine Coast, TAFE Queensland East Coast and My Weekly Preview.
