Learn strategies to enhance your event revenue with Kim Pengelly, from the renowned Woodford Folk Festival, at the Sunshine Coast Events Network (scene) educational and networking workshop at Kawana Island meeting space from 1.30pm on Wednesday 17 July.

Open to all event industry professionals, Sunshine Coast Council’s scene program is not only aimed at those who are new to the events industry but also at experienced event organisers and volunteers looking to run a new event, or to further develop existing events or skill sets.

As Commercial Manager for Woodford Folk Festival, Kim manages the preparation, strategy, activation and evaluation of all merchandising and bar operations and will share strategies to manage the process and enhance your revenue.

Kim will be joined by global risk management specialist Andrew Murray of Emergency and Risk Management Services (ERMS) Group. Andrew will share his experience in risk management earned on the ground with high profile clients such as Caloundra Music Festival and Abbey Medieval Festival, to name a few.

Mingle with the presenters at the networking event, which will be held after the workshop from 5.30pm to 7pm. The informal part of the evening provides an opportunity for those in the events industry on the Sunshine Coast to build important business relationships. This networking evening is free to attend and includes finger food, entertainment, lucky door prizes, cash bar, and local companies Solar Laser Productions and Wild Diamonds casino tables will be showcasing some of their new products.
