Beerwah Library is now offering fee exhibition space to local artists. The library is a valuable community facility with more to offer than books on shelves.

Local artists can exhibit their work for up to a month at no cost and art work can be sold without any commission.

To assist emerging and experienced local artists exhibit their work professionally, the library has tapped into the skills and expertise offered Jean-luc Rolland.

“Jean-luc has been able to employ his experience as an exhibition manager and curator for the benefit of local artists and the library,” said Moira Maclachlan, Beerwah Branch Coordinator.

The Hinterland Business Centre in Maleny has offered Jean-luc a work placement position with Beerwah Library through “Skilling Queenslanders for Work” funded by the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations.

Interested artists should contact the Beerwah Library (5494 0221) to obtain detailed information regarding the procedure and availability.
