It’s curtain call time for all budding young actors wanting to sign up for rehearsals beginning next week in Cooroy and Noosa for the Shout Out Loud live stage production in July.
If you are aged between 10 and 17 years and interested in writing and performing, then the Get Connected Project is for you, according to the Sunshine Coast Council’s community support officer and festival coordinator Katie Edmiston.
“The Get Connected program is about giving young people an opportunity to work with professional artists and create a new performance that is by, for and about them,” Ms Edmiston said.
Anyone interested in being part of the project can enrol in workshops being held at both the Butter Factory in Cooroy and The J at Noosa Junction starting next week.
After ten weeks, those two groups will be brought together for combined rehearsals on 2 and 3 July,” Ms Edmiston said.
“The final performance will be on 4 July when their collaborative performance piece will be part of the Shout Out Loud Youth Arts Festival at The J.”
Noosa workshops start on Monday 20 April and will run from 4-6pm and the Cooroy workshops start on Tuesday 21 April and run at the same times.
