Sunshine Coast Council libraries are sharing the love on Library Lovers Day with the simultaneous screening of two romance movies across the region on Friday, February 12 at 10am.

The free short films will set the scene for Library Lovers Day.

The first, Photos and Drawings, is the story of two artists in search of inspiration who discover something more.

The second film, Further Adventures of Cupid and Eros, episode one, is a modern take on two love gods trying to set the world and their own love lives right.

Both films will be streamed from the online eLibrary service.

Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said Sunshine Coast Council libraries are always the best match makers to help you find the information you’re looking for.

“Whether you are after information on an overseas holiday or you are looking for a great read, library staff help make finding information easy,” Cr McKay said.

“Visit your local library to enjoy some free movie popcorn and chocolate treats from 10am and find out more about the online eLibrary services available at your library.

“The fun starts in the two weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day as Sunshine Coast Libraries offer you the chance to win a chocolate-filled prize.

“All you have to do is complete an entry form at your local library and tell us what we could offer for you to love your library more.”

Entries close Saturday, February 13 and winners will be drawn and notified on Monday, February 15, 2016.
