Sunshine Coast Council invites residents and visitors to celebrate the TreeLine exhibition and Mother’s Day with a difference at the Noosa Regional Gallery Family Day from 11am to 2pm on 13 May 2012.
Noosa Regional Gallery has partnered with council’s Community Nature Conservation team to present this special day for visitors with a presentation by guest speaker Ray Seddon, Sunshine Coast Coordinator for the Richmond Birdwing Conservation Network.
Find out why the network is devoted to the conservation of one of South East Queensland’s largest and most beautiful butterflies. The team of volunteers from Community Nature Conservation will also be on hand to provide free seedlings to help support the Birdwing Butterfly population.
Noosa Regional Gallery will also be running free creative activities for all ages, face paintings as well as the popular sausage sizzle with local gluten free sausages.
Surprise mum this Mother’s Day by visiting the environmentally friendly exhibitions Germinating, Growing, Wilting by Claudine Marzik and Tijn Meulendijks and Swamp Cartography, Notes in Silver and Clay by Rebecca Ward and Shannon Garson. Why not enjoy an informative and creative day for the whole family?
