Christmas and New Year kicks off with a flick of a switch

Mayor Mark Jamieson will launch the Sunshine Coast Christmas and New Year celebrations with the ‘switching on’ of the first Christmas tree at Mooloolaba at 7pm on Wednesday (November 26 2014).

Council supports Christmas and New Year’s Eve in the community and is pleased to partner with My Weekly Preview to publish community events and activities happening across the Coast in My Christmas - your guide to celebrate Christmas and New Year events.

The Mooloolaba tree is the biggest in the region and is just one of 22 listed in the My Christmas publication which includes more than 80 fun, family-friendly Christmas and New Year events and activities.
