If you have valuable knowledge on a topic that you would like to share with the community, Sunshine Coast Libraries would like to hear from you.

Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said there was no doubt libraries played an important role in our community.

“Council has an endorsed Sunshine Coast Libraries Plan which sets the strategic direction for library operational and infrastructure for the next decade,” Cr McKay said.

“Our Sunshine Coast Library network includes eight vibrant and busy library branches and two mobile libraries.

“And with more than 1.5 million people visit Sunshine Coast Libraries every year, of which 32,000 attended the diverse range of free events and activities in 2015, there is no doubt that our community loves this service.

“But we cannot do it without the 400 local businesses and community members who help to make this happen.

“Our library surveys tell us the community are passionate about these free sessions so we are keen to hear from presenters who would like to share their knowledge on a range of topics in 2016.

“It could be anything from sustainable living to health and wellbeing - as long as it educates, informs and supports lifelong learning for our community.”
